Recently, a new problem is emerging in the United States: the extremely widespread use of electronic cigarettes and other vaping products by teens and young adults. These teenagers and young adults are not aware of the dangerous effects these products can have on their brain development, the health risks now and later in their lives, and how the use of these products makes them more likely to use other dangerous drugs. The FDA recently announced that studies have shown that vaping is just as addictive as heroin for teenagers and young adults.
The most dangerous effect that vaping has on teenagers is how these products significantly alter the brain development of teenagers. A report was published by the U.S. Surgeon General of Health and Public Safety in 2016, the report talked about just how significantly the brain could be impacted. It said that these products can cause mood disorders, permanently lower your impulse controls, and it can even lead to potentially life long problems associated with learning and attention. The brain controls everything in the human body, these dangerous products can potentially make it much more difficult to function on a daily basis because of the ways the brain is affected.
This problem that has been plaguing our society is only getting worse as studies are showing that the percentage of teens who use vapes is increasing every year.

In order to prevent this increase and save teenagers from addiction, it is crucial that we educate the public about this problem because many people may not even know that this is a serious problem. Social media is a great way to educate and build awareness around this very sensitive issue in our society. I suggest that you read up on this topic and then you will realize how big of a problem this actually is.
