Will our new neighborhood be in space?

With our lovely Earth getting older and older each year, our resources are running out and we start to think, What is our next option? How do we keep the human race and human civilization alive and well going? This answer has been answered with the thought of Space Colonization. Space Colonization is so close, yet so far with everything that needs to be done.

The reason that we are so far, is because there are a lot of things that we need to take into account. One, and the most important, is that it needs to be figured out if it is a necessity to go up into space and colonize it. It could come down to the fact that it is the only way to keep the human race alive. These could be times such as if we know we are going to run out of resources in a certain amount of time, then we would need to locate somewhere that has resources or that we are able to make resources there, and space is full of resources, which coincides to why space is considered.Also, say there is a natural disaster or event that happens on our planet, there may be a time where we need somewhere else to live in order to survive.

There are other basic ideas for space colonization such as just spreading civilization throughout the universe, another way to generate income by making necessities or objects needed for space, etc. The next thought process that needs to be used is thinking about where we will set up. You cannot just go to any planet and set up shop in their environment. Some planets have environments that are inhabitable, and if we step foot we would either be burned, frozen, lifted off the ground from the winds, or drowned with rains from a storm that happens year round.

If Space Colonization were to happen, the moon is a good target spot. This is a good target spot because the moon has already been explored, not all of it, but some of it. That means people already know that the moon can be habitable and people can survive on it in that aspect.
