Existence of Aliens in the Form of a Paradox

The Fermi Paradox is the concept that there is a very high probability of aliens being real but no evidence of them existing. The Fermi Paradox makes a lot of assumptions on why Earth has not encountered alien life. People believe that we probably have and we don't know how to deciever it. If we haven’t found them, they may have found us. Many have referenced that alien life might not be as common as once believed or that other alien life has become extinct. But the question still stands, Why don’t we have evidence?

We should’ve had evidence of alien life, interstellar travel, and other planets by now if they were real but it is extremely unlikely that we are the only human life out there. There are about 7-8 explanations to this but what is interesting is the potential sociological issue that has prevented evidence of aliens being real.

There are four main parts to sociological reasoning which include “colonization is not the cosmic norm”, “alien species have only settled part of the galaxy”, “alien species may not live on planets”, and “alien species may isolate themselves from the outside world”.

Each reasoning is a little far-fetched but the reasoning “alien species may isolate themselves from the outside world” is very likely. We can see in our own world that there are certain isolated tribes that have been known to stay away from the outside world but they choose to not partake or engage. An example of this would be a clicking community in South Africa. They are very near a city in South Africa and they can easily want to partake in western culture but they don't. An example of this would be a clicking community in South Africa. They are very near a city in South Africa and they can easily partake in western culture but they don’t. Another example would be a community off the coast of west South America where people that live on the island have never had contact with the outside world and that they’re even laws to prevent the outside world going on to that island

They might not see us as an advantage to their society. People often go for things that will help them. An example is when Britain imperialized Africa for their own advantage. If Africa didn’t have something that Britian could profit off of then they would not take the time and resources.

The alien society might be so technologically advanced they don’t need to be somewhere physically but virtually. They could be already in a virtual world but we just don’t know it but it still counts as isolation since both are not physically with us.

It has been suggested that some advanced beings may divest themselves of physical form, create massive artificial virtual environments, transfer themselves into these environments through mind uploading, and exist totally within virtual worlds, ignoring the external physical universe. Technological advances might have gone beyond the physical need.

Alien life must exist but, it leads to more and more questions and theories of where they are.
